Concert FAQs

January 12, 2023

Here are some of the questions you've been asking, and some of the answers we've been finding!

What are your requirements for attending a concert?

Safety first! We are requiring patrons wear masks for the duration of the concert. We thank you in advance for your cooperation.

What other measures are you taking for safety?

  • Our musicians and staff are fully vaccinated and boosted for Covid-19. We highly recommend eligible patrons are vaccinated and boosted as well.
  • No concessions for sale at the theatre.

For up-to-date health and safety information, visit our Health & Safety Page. For more information about how Mount Baker Theatre helps keep you safe, please click here.

Can I have my regular seats if I am a subscriber?

Yes! Please contact the Mount Baker Theatre box office to reserve your seat.

I know it’s tough now; how can I help the Ticketing staff at MBT?

With reduced staff, hours, and all of the other challenges of these times, you can help by purchasing your tickets and selecting your seats online, rather than calling, if you are able. If you experience any problems, they are available by phone, but please know it may take them a couple of days to get back to you.

  • MBT Ticketing: (360) 734-6080
  • MBT Box Office Hours: 10:00AM to 2:00PM, M-F. In person or by phone 2 hours prior to show time.

Will there be pre-concert lectures?

Yes! We will have in-person pre-concert lectures about the program with Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel in the Walton Theatre at 2:15pm on concert days.

Where can I find guest artist & repertoire information?

Guest artist & repertoire information can be found by visiting the Events page of our website and viewing the details of each concert. Please be aware that all programs and artists are subject to change, as we’ve all come to expect and understand in these times.

Will there be programs?

Yes! We have returned to printed programs!

Do you still have Take-a-Teen tickets available?

If your teen is fully vaccinated, yes. Please arrange for these tickets either by phone or in person at the MBT Box office. (See contact information above).

How about Classical Kids?

Classical Kids is starting again! Click here for more information. Please see our Education and Community Pages for activities to keep kids involved in music and classical music.

What precautions are the musicians taking?

All of our musicians are fully vaccinated, and have been following BSO Safety & Health Guidelines at rehearsals as well.

What if we purchase tickets and then do not feel well on the day of the concert?

Safety first! We will be happy to exchange your ticket for another one later in the season. If you’d like to donate it back to us to support our programs, we’d love that too. Talk to the great staff at the MBT Box Office about your options should you find yourself in this situation.

I want to make sure the music continues. How can I help?

We have other programming also available on our website supporting students, educators, and all who love classical music. We are not charging for any of this content this season, but we would love your support to keep the music alive!  Keeping our organization vibrant and relevant is what we’ve been working on this entire time, and we couldn’t do it without you.
