The Bellingham Symphony Orchestra is in its 45th season. The organization is comprised of over 80 musicians, a board of directors, and a small office staff. As part of our concert series, the BSO presents six to seven classical concerts each season. Each of these concerts features world renowned soloists. In addition, the organization does over 90 in-school concerts each season and collaborates with Mount Baker Theatre for an Educational Concert as part of their Educational Series. The BSO receives great support from the community with some seasons having multiple sold out concerts.
During Covid-19, the BSO has worked to continue bringing music to the community with monthly online concerts, our Bellingham Youth Chamber Players program, partnering with schools, and working with our community partners through the Whatcom Arts Project.

Development
Development is responsible for development planning and implementation for the BSO, including individual giving, legacy giving, sponsorships, and grant writing. Please see the job listing for further details.

Hours are estimated at 10 hours per week on average but are flexible.
This position is open until filled. Applications are requested by Monday, April 12th at 5pm. This is an interim hourly position through November for leave replacement. There is the possibility for the position to continue as a permanent position.
Pay is $23-$25 per hour.
