Of Note

Jessica is another welcomed returning soloist and plays with the Seattle Symphony.

Demarre is Principal Flute with the Seattle Symphony.

Composer Jake Heggie wrote Soliloquy in 2012 as a setting of the song "Beyond" from Pieces of 9/11 commissioned by Camerata Pacifica.

The first performance of Soliloquy was on May 10, 2012 in Santa Barbara, California with flutist Adrian Spence and pianist Warren Jones.

The "Undine" Sonata is based on the story by Friedrich de la Motte Fouqué. Similar to The Little Mermaid, the tale depicts Undine, a water spirit, who longs for an immortal soul which can only be obtained through true love with a mortal man.

We couldn’t be happier than to have the delightful pianist Jessica Choe joining us again in our 45th season and to have flutist Demarre McGill perform with us for the first time. How better to celebrate than with good friends? In this program, Ms. Choe and Mr. McGill bring their distinctive and beautiful touch to today's program and talks with Music Director Yaniv Attar about life, music, and musical life.

Dr. Ryan Dudenbostel’s informative and engaging Pre-Concert Lecture about the program will air at 12:00 PM here on our website.
