When you support the Symphony, you support our community!
Over the past four decades, the Bellingham Symphony Orchestra has grown into a nationally-recognized orchestra, attracting acclaim from audiences and artists alike. Support from our community sustains our artistic excellence and keeps the music playing, so we can continue to perform music of all ages to inspire audiences of all ages throughout Whatcom County.
As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we rely on donations of all sizes from supporters like you to keep the music going for generations to come.
Place a donation in the remit envelope enclosed in your concert program and drop the envelope in the mail.
Support the Symphony for generations to come and make philanthropic giving a lifelong commitment. Planned gifts include a bequest in a will or trust, a beneficiary designation from retirement or life insurance accounts, appreciated assets, and real estate or personal property gifts. Financial incentives may apply. For more information about planned giving and our Legacy Society, please contact the Symphony Office.
Honor a loved one or respected colleague with a thoughtful gift while helping to bring the gift of music to our community.
Chair Underwriters are instrumental in sustaining the organization, making an initial 3-year commitment to honor a member of the orchestra.
Donating stock may enable you to increase your gift to the Symphony while realizing added tax benefits. Check with your broker or tax advisor to determine if a stock donation makes sense for you.
If you are 70 1/2 years or older and required to take a Required Minimum Distribution (RMD), you can directly transfer all or part of your RMD from your IRA retirement as a gift to the Symphony (up to $100,000 annually) with no taxable income on the transfer.
