Our years of working together were in my opinion some of the most successful years of the orchestra. I look forward to working with her again, as we bring the orchestra to new heights.”

Gail brings a unique blend of outstanding leadership expertise, passion for music, and deep dedication to serving Bellingham and the Whatcom county community. “With Gail at the helm, we are confident that the BSO will continue to evolve, innovate, and captivate audiences, ensuring that our music remains a vibrant force in our community and lives,” said Corey Welch, President of the Board of Directors.

Gail Ridenour said “I am truly honored to return to a leadership role in this remarkable organization. I am excited to work hand-in-hand with our musicians, staff, and supporters to further our mission. Together, we will ensure that our orchestra continues to be a beacon of culture and a source of inspiration.”

The BSO will officially announce Gail as the Executive Director on stage at its November 5th concert, "Rise," featuring cellist Efe Baltacıgil performing Fazıl Say's Concerto for Cello and Orchestra, Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 6 "Pathetique," and DiLorenzo's Anthem of Hope.
